Our flagship NanoDrop One C spectrophotometers share common features with other members of the NanoDrop family
- Requires only 1–2 µL of sample without dilution, even for highly concentrated samples
- Simply pipet a drop of your DNA, RNA, or protein sample on the pedestal and pull down the arm; the NanoDrop OneC instrument includes a built-in cuvette capability. The cuvette position adds experimental flexibility and increases the dynamic range. Combining the pioneering sample-retention system with cuvette capability accommodates both low and high concentrations (0.2–27.500 ng/µL dsDNA and 0.006–820 mg/mL BSA). Use cuvettes to measure dilute samples and optical density of bacterial cultures or to perform kinetics experiments. The cuvette position can be used with the arm up or down and includes temperature control and stirring features.
- Results appear in seconds of initiating a measurement, and Auto-Blank and Auto
- Measure settings can further streamline your workflow
- Measure up to 27.500 ng/µL dsDNA or 400 mg/mL IgG without dilution
DNA, RNA, and protein quantification, full spectral data, purity ratios (A260/A280, A260/A230), and more - Measure the full UV-Vis spectrum from 190–850 nm, allowing a range of assays as:
+ Peptides (205 nm)
+ DNA and RNA (260 nm)
+ Purified protein (280 nm)
+ Toxicology assays and industrial dyes (490 nm)
+ Gold nanoparticles (520 nm)
+ Colorimetric protein assays (BCA 562 nm, Bradford 595 nm, Modified Lowry 650 nm, Pierce 660 660 nm)
+ Optical Density measurements (600 nm)

NanoDrop One C Highlights
- Contains both pedestal and cuvette positions to expand experimental flexibility and increase the dynamic range.
- Measure dilute samples, perform kinetics experiments and take optical density measurements of bacterial cultures.
- Cuvette position includes temperature control and stirring.
Acclaro Sample Intelligence Technology
Thermo Scientific Acclaro Sample Intelligence Technology software analyzes absorbance across the whole UV-Vis spectrum, not just wavelengths specific to nucleic acids and proteins. Determine absorbances from known contaminants like protein or phenol in dsDNA or RNA samples or nucleic acids or phenol in protein samples. Detect the presence of guanidine HCl and guanidinium isothiocyanate in nucleic acid samples, dsDNA in RNA, or RNA in dsDNA. It then applies powerful chemometric algorithms to identify contaminants in your samples and correct quantitation results. You get more reliable downstream assay results and avoid potential rework with this efficient, breakthrough capability.
