Visium HD slides
Next-generation slide architecture enables single cell–scale resolution.
Visium HD Spatial Gene Expression slides contain two 6.5 x 6.5 mm Capture Areas with a continuous lawn of oligonucleotides arrayed in millions of 2 x 2 µm barcoded squares without gaps, achieving single cell–scale spatial resolution. The data is output at 2 µm, as well as multiple bin sizes. The 8 x 8 µm bin is the recommended starting point for visualization and analysis.
FAQ
What is the Capture Area architecture for Visium HD slides?
What samples are compatible with Visium HD?
Visium HD is compatible with human and mouse formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections containing mRNA. This includes archived FFPE blocks and pre-sectioned tissue on glass slides. We plan to expand sample access to other tissue conditions in the future.
What tissue stains are compatible with Visium HD?
Visium HD Spatial Gene Expression is compatible with hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining for morphological information and with immunofluorescence (IF) staining for protein co-detection.
How can I analyze my Visium HD Spatial Gene expression data?
10x Genomics provides two types of software to help you analyze your data: Space Ranger and Loupe Browser. Space Ranger is an analysis software that automatically overlays spatial gene expression information on your tissue image and identifies clusters of barcoded squares with similar transcription profiles. You can then use Loupe Browser, a visualization software, to interactively explore the results.
